Creative Vision
Polyarch is a multifaceted architecture & design studio dedicated to creating designs that harmonize with unique environments, communities, and individuals. Each project, regardless how large or small, is an opportunity to bring our clients' ideas to life through careful attention to their needs and a clear understanding of each project’s conditions. With our expertise, as well as our intimate appreciation of craft, technology, and environment, the Polyarch team will manifest your vision with a graceful & holistic sensibility.
Polyarch was founded by Margaret “Polly” Horne in 2016 in Brooklyn, NY. In 2022, the studio expanded south and is now based in Johnson City, TN with a satellite office in Mt. Tremper, NY. With this expansive reach, the Polyarch team realizes sustainable and culturally enriching designs across northern and southern Appalachia. A native to the Blue Ridge Mountains, Ms. Horne's work is informed by her deep connection to the natural world. She believes that conscientiously balancing new work with existing conditions - be it a site or an existing structure - is not only practical and environmentally sensitive, but also gives rise to an enriching sense of place for the benefit of city dwellers and country folk alike.
